Nancy Matimu replaces Odipo as the MD for Multichoice in Kenya

Nancy Matimu, formerly the Vice President for Mastercard in East Africa, has been appointed the Managing Director of Multichoice Kenya with effect from December 16, 2019.

Nancy Matimu has been the Chief Digital Officer at HF Group where she was in charge of leading market development in Sub Saharan Africa to grow share, customers, transactions and revenue, in which position she did products and innovation as well as sales and operational excellence in ICT, Telecommunications and Financial Service.

She holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Strathmore University, Advance Management Program (AMP) and Chief Executive Program (CEP) from Strathmore Business School. Matimu has held general management and specialist roles with as high as US$2 billion Profits and Loan (P&L) responsibility in top organizations in Kenya and sub-Sahara Africa such as Safaricom, Airtel and iWayAfrica among others.

Her predecessor,  Eric Odipo who resigned from this position,  was a member of the Africa, Middle East and Europe (EMEA) leadership team. He joined Multichoice Kenya in June 2017 and headed the firm’s DStv, GOtv and SuperSport divisions. Formerly, Odipo served at Westcon Africa, a distributor of ICT solutions in Africa, as the GM and Area Sales Leader for Africa.
