Speaking on the recent launch, Munyi Nthigah said that Agriculture is important in the region as it’s the pillar of the East African economy.
“The sector accounts for 25% of the region’s GDP and employs or is a source of income for roughly 80% of the population. This is why we have seen a recent resurgence of investment in this sector globally. With the launch of VorianCorrelli in Kenya, we want to bring combined experiences in Fintech and Agriculture to build a platform that will democratise finance by solving the problem of liquidity or access to capital within agriculture markets,” Nthigah said.
VorianCorelli is an AgriTech company that solves the problem of liquidity and access to capital within agriculture markets. The company serves as a matching platform for farmers, buyers and financiers in Agriculture. Using distributed ledger technology, the company creates the social trust that makes Agriculture markets work for farmers by focusing on Farmer KYC, Access to markets and Financing. As a result, the set of instruments developed by VorianCorelli enables retail & institutional partners to deploy capital into agriculture.
