Mastercard Unveils Agent Suite To Support Enterprise Adoption Of Agentic AI
Mastercard has announced the launch of a new set of services aimed at helping businesses integrate agentic artificial intelligence into their operations, as enterprises increasingly look beyond experimentation toward practical deployment of AI-driven systems.
The offering, dubbed Mastercard Agent Suite, is designed to support organisations as they build, test, and deploy AI agents tailored to specific operational and customer-facing use cases. The suite combines technical support, configurable AI agents, and advisory services, drawing on Mastercard’s payments infrastructure, proprietary technology platforms, data insights, and a global advisory network of more than 4,000 specialists.
According to Mastercard, the move responds to growing enterprise demand for tools that translate AI potential into execution. Industry forecasts cited by the company indicate that by 2028, a third of enterprise software applications are expected to incorporate agentic AI, with a significant share of customer interactions and operational tasks likely to be supported by AI agents by 2030.

“Readiness is the new competitive advantage,” said Kaushik Gopal, head of insights and intelligence for Mastercard. “It’s no secret that those who lay the groundwork can embrace new commercial opportunities much faster. Mastercard Agent Suite builds on our core strengths and capabilities to ensure our customers can be both nimble and practical as they turn innovation into outcomes.”
The Agent Suite, scheduled to be available in the second quarter of this year, will complement Mastercard’s existing AI and agentic AI solutions, which the company says are focused on enhancing security, optimising payments, improving user experience, and enabling data-driven growth. The new suite also aligns with Mastercard’s broader standards and programs intended to support businesses operating in an increasingly agent-driven digital economy.
Mastercard noted that agents developed through the suite will be built with privacy, security, and responsible AI principles embedded by design. Initial use cases will centre on intelligent product discovery for banks and personalised, conversational shopping experiences for merchants.

In banking environments, AI agents could be used to recommend appropriate financial products such as travel cards or cost-saving accounts—while providing clear explanations for those recommendations. Banks would also be able to test different offer scenarios, launch targeted campaigns, and track performance metrics to inform portfolio growth strategies.
For merchants, agentic capabilities could be applied across digital channels to guide customers through the shopping journey. By configuring rules around inventory, pricing, promotions, and brand voice, merchants can enable AI agents to deliver real-time, personalised product recommendations based on individual consumer preferences.
The Agent Suite adds to a growing portfolio of Mastercard initiatives focused on agentic commerce. These include Mastercard Agent Pay, which supports trusted agent-driven transactions, and the Mastercard Developers Agent Toolkit, aimed at improving accessibility for developers building agentic applications.

Beyond product development, Mastercard has also expanded its ecosystem support for agentic innovation. The company has introduced a dedicated agentic commerce and services track within Start Path, its global startup engagement program, and continues to offer AI advisory services to enterprises. These include immersive Spark sessions structured workshops designed to help organisations define their strategic vision and roadmap within the evolving agentic commerce landscape.
As enterprises across Africa and globally explore how AI agents can be embedded into core business processes, Mastercard’s latest announcement signals a shift toward tools and services focused on operational readiness rather than experimentation alone.
