The date has been set for the newest iPhone’s debut. The device is wading into deep waters that are infested with parasites. From Apple’s perspective, these parasites are competitors, and the iPhone 12 is said to be the most stylish, forward-thinking and cutting edge device of them all. We will just have to see if it can rid the waters of the hangers-on.

The iPhone 12 is expected to include super-fast 5G wireless connectivity and a new, iPad-inspired design. Like Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, and its September Apple Watch and iPad announcements, the iPhone event will be held entirely online. The event will be streamed via Apple’s website.

Apple has taken a new design approach to the iPhone 12. There was a time when the only decisions you could make regarding your iPhone was capacity and colour. Now, iPhone buyers are going to get plenty of options.

The iPhone 12 will have a sturdier, boxy look. Similar to that of the iPhone 4 or iPad pro. Flashier players in the market such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip2 5G, with its foldable display, or Microsoft’s Surface Duo, with two screens sandwiched together, offer new paradigms on the standard metal-and-glass smartphone construction. But most consumers will likely be gravitating toward what they know.

Considering that Apple has revamped a big part of the iOS layout, this might be a sign that they are further working on updates to completely rejuvenate their operating systems. Now that the iPhone 12 is said to be getting a new look, will the operating systems get a new look too? October the 13th will tell.
