“The Authority has been revising the ICT sector regulations with a view to aligning them with the Kenya Information and Communications (Amendment) Act, 2013,” Francis Wangusi, Director General, Communications Authority, said. “Six sets of regulations have been reviewed and subjected to stakeholder consultations during the current financial year. We discussed ten more sets of regulations. If the ministry is going to fast track these six regulations we are hoping we are going to have sixteen in no time.” He added.
According to CA chairman, Ngene Gituku, the other ten sets of regulations are at the Attorney General’s chambers awaiting promulgation.
