KCAA Appoints A New Chief ICT Officer-Operations

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority recently appointed Edith Kipsang’, former Head of IT at Kimisitu SACCO, to be the new Chief ICT Officer in charge of Operations.

In her new role, Edith will be responsible for coordinating the design, planning, and installation of ICT infrastructure and information systems, as well as the application software at all KCAA Stations. She will also coordinate ICT operations and oversee the implementation of ICT policies, strategies, procedures, and standards.

Commenting on her appointment Edith said, “I am glad to join the KCAA team as the Chief ICT Officer- Operations. I will work together with the rest of the team to steer the organisation’s vision forward.”

In this new role, Edith will report to the Manager ICT.

A seasoned techie, Edith brings her over a decade of experience working in the IT industry, having served as the manager of ICT at Kimisitu SACCO for seven years. She also worked with the Management University of Africa and Kenya Institute of Management, both in the capacity of an ICT leader.
