The KCA University is set to host a Tech Expo,this will be the first event of its’ kind to be held in the University. The event is scheduled to take place on the 15thJuly 2015. The Expo will allow students to exhibit their innovations in the tech industry.
“We have received more than 100 applications from candidates who would like to showcase their innovations. an invite by Prof Ddembe Williams, Dean, Faculty of Computing Information and Management, KCA University,read.
“These applications have been received from five institutions of higher learning.We already have a panel of judges that is going through all the applications and only 15 shortlisted candidates will exhibit their skills and innovations. The three finalists will each receive awards.” it continued.

The Expo is being organised by The Faculty of Computing Information and Management in conjunction with Technology Club which is a student professional association in KCA University, whose main aim is to link its members to technology industry professionals and to complement student’s classroom theory with important and up to date technological trends in the market.
The Tech Expo is being seen as an event to showcase latest technological trends from companies while at the same time engaging the students to feel the products on a one on one basis.
The event presents an opportunity for firms to showcase their latest products while at the same interacting with their potential customers.

The tech expo is meant to empower IT and non IT students to improve their innovation awareness in the ever dynamic technological world.
The forum will mentor students on the technological innovation that are forming the corporate world.
The expo will also provide their information on industry growth for professional certification and to enhance the position of KCA University in the global ICT industry and the market at large.
