Jack Ngare Appointed To Shell Foundation’s Board Of Trustees
Google’s Technical Director at the Office of the CTO, Jack Ngare, has joined the global board of trustees of the Shell Foundation. Jack Ngare expressed his delight after being added to the board of trustees as he will play a part in the foundation’s use of technology to scale clean energy solutions across Africa and Asia.
“Glad to be joining the global board of trustees of the Shell Foundation. With already over $8.9 billion in financed projects, 58.18 tonnes of CO2 reduced and over 730,000 jobs supported in clean energy mostly in Africa and Asia. I look forward to contributing to the foundation’s use of technology to scale clean energy solutions across Africa and Asia,” Jack said promising that he will do his best in his part to offer real solutions.
With this appointment, Jack is now a member of three different board of trustees. For over three years now, Jack has been a board member at Credit Bank PLC and IPSL Kenya as well.

Jack Ngare has joined Alice Chapple, Diana Fox Carney, Grzegorz Gut, Sinead Lynch, and Huibert Vigeveno in the board of trustees at Shell Foundation. The chair of the board is Gail Klintworth.
Shell Foundation is a charity registered in England and Wakes, founded by Shell in 2000. The charity creates and scales business solutions that empower undeserved populations to earn a living income through access to clean energy products and services.
The charity seeks to deploy its resources in three ways to encourage innovation and scale. Shell Foundation supports early stage technology innovations, works with sector actors, and uses its expertise and experience to present the investment case in energy access solutions.
