IT Subject Candidates excel at Public Accountants Examination results

Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) Business Management and Information Systems subject Candidates, excelled with 91.0 percent pass out of 97 candidates that sat for the August 2019, ICPAU examinations. This was followed by 79.5 per cent pass for 496 candidates who sat for Quantitative techniques subject.
While releasing the August examination results in Kampala Imperial Royal Hotel, the Public Accountants Examination Board (PAEB) Chairperson, CPA Keto Nyapendi Kayemba, said In terms of gender, 54.3 per cent of those who passed were female while 45.7 per cent were male. “The female candidates are consistently outshining their male counterparts. In addition, 35.8 per cent of those candidates who passed made it on first attempt”, she said.
Frederick Kibedi, ICPAU President, extended his appreciation to PAEB, the examiners, moderators, markers, security teams, invigilators, service providers and the Secretariat, for their contributions to the success of the examinations.

A total of 4,048 candidates attempted the examinations. The examinations were conducted from Monday 19 to Friday 23 August 2019 at the Kampala Centre and were for the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) course only.
