Isaac Mophatlane has resigned as the CEO of the Telkom subisidiary BCX (formerly Business Connexion).
According to Tech Central, Telkom spokeswoman Jacqui O’Sullivan on Sunday confirmed that Mophatlane had resigned.
“While Friday was Isaac’s last formal day as the CEO, he will be consulting to the [Telkom] group CEO, Sipho Maseko, in the coming three months, to ensure a seamless transition,” O’Sullivan said.

She said Ian Russell, who until now has served as group chief transition officer, will replace Mophatlane “with immediate effect”.
Mophatlane, the twin brother of late former BCX CEO Benjamin Mophatlane, has led the company since his brother’s death in 2014. Less than a year ago, in June 2016, Telkom named him as CEO of the then newly integrated Telkom Business and BCX units.
The Mophatlane twins founded what would eventually become BCX. They merged their business, called Business Connection, in 2004 with Comparex Africa (itself the result of the merger of Persetel and Q Data) to create Business Connexion.
