The partnership ensures that the Hot Note x551 Smartphone, which is set to retail at a price of Kshs 10,000, will be sold exclusively through Jumia’s website.
“Through a ‘factory-to-consumer’ model, Infinix is partnering with Jumia.com, the leading player of e-commerce in Kenya, to reduce channel costs, create a new business model and bring incredible value to our end users,” said Benjamin Jiang, co-founder, Infinix Mobility.
To buy the phone one log’s onto the Jumia website and searches for the Hot Note under the mobile phone category.

By clicking on the phone you will be redirected to a create-an-account module, which allows you to create an account with Jumia.
Once you have created an account, you will be guided to the payment page, which gives you three payment options: PayPal, M-Pesa (on delivery) and iPay, which integrates various other payment platforms such as YuCash, Airtel money and credit cards.
The device comes in premium design with metallic finish and has a slim and long body.

It is fitted with a huge 5.5 inch HD display, which generates High Definition (1280 x 720 pixels) images, and is equipped with several multimedia and connectivity features.

The Infinix Hot Note runs on the latest Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system. The device is powered by 1.4 GHz mediatek Octacore processor, which allows it to run smoothly and optimally.

In addition, the phone has an internal memory of 16GB giving users enough storage space for photos and files.
The device comes with an 8MP main camera and an advanced image sensor, allowing users to capture HD video at 30 frames per second (FPS).
There is also a 2MP front camera with support for 75% wide angle shooting. The Hot Note x551 device supports dual SIM with both supporting 2G/3G.
“At Infinix, we believe that simplicity and enhanced user experience are the ultimate goals of technology and we have incorporated this into every detail of our designs, including our unique user interface,” Zhou said.
Equipped with new security features, the Hot Note is able to check all incoming programs for your device hence protecting itself from malware and viruses that may be found in unscreened apps.
The device also screens Internet apps for permission to use your personal data giving you power to manage your data.
