IEC Telecom Group announced the launch of IEC Telecom Turkey. With a strong presence in Europe on one side and in the Middle-East and Central Asia on the other side, the Group found it necessary to fill the gap in between in order to get closer to its customers in the region and support them with its well-known proximity service.
After due consideration, IEC Telecom Group choose to establish in Turkey, the strongest and fastest developing economy in this part of the world. The country is ideally located at the heart of an area encompassing the East Mediterranean and the black sea regions. Its economy is based on an 83 million population and on highly diversified and sophisticated industries. The Turkish economy has been one of the most dynamic in the world for the past few years and fundamentals for continuing growth are strong.
IEC Telecom Turkey headquarters are established in Istanbul, and will have the same core activities as all other subsidiaries. Its main targets will be both land and maritime markets. Its offer for

L-Band mobile services is based on the Group’s comprehensive portfolio; Thuraya, Iridium and Inmarsat of which the Group is a Distribution Partner. The company’s offer for Vsat mobile & fixed services is based on Inmarsat GX and FX, the Group being Global Xpress VAR. Yahsat KA and Eutelsat KA are equally part of the portfolio.
Evidently, IEC Telecom Turkey will provide the Group’s satcom solutions and applications that have been either developed in-house or by the Group’s specialized companies Quicklink for medias and Traksat for geolocation.
