Huawei Y9 officially launches in the Kenyan market

Huawei’s latest mid-range smartphone, the Y9 2019, is now available in retail stores in Kenya, following a public launch held simultaneously at both TRM Mall and Two Rivers mall in Nairobi, Kenya.

The phone is now readily available in the market for a recommended retail price of Kshs 24,990 and will also be available at Telkom retail stores across the country. Consumers can also purchase the device online via Jumia.

Speaking at the initial media launch of the device, a few weeks earlier, Huawei’s Head of Eastern Africa Mobile Steven Li said, “We are delighted to announce the arrival of the Huawei Y9 2019 into this market. We believe that it will be a favourite, mainly amongst Kenyan youth due to its favourable price and superior features,”
