How Governments Can Use Technology to Improve Services (VIDEO)

Government processes and services have been the biggest headaches for citizens in Africa. Often complains were about how slow, inconvenient or unreliable government services have been.

There is an obvious need for government services to incorporate technology into their service delivery to make it better.

Governments need to take a digital feedback loop from citizens to look into the different ways it can improve its services to them. In the feedback loop, governments ought to capture data, synthesize it and look at the ways the services can be improved.

It is important for governments to balance data analytics, governance, and build trust with the citizens. Microsoft East Africa’s Country Manager Kendi Nderitu talked about how governments can incorporate technology in improving their services. See video:
