HF Group appoints George Njuguna as Chief Operations Officer

George Njuguna, formerly the Chief Information Officer (CIO) with HF Group has been appointed to the Operations Office of the company.

The elevation comes only four months after he was announced the East Africa CIO of the Year 2018 during the annual coveted CIO100 Awards, an event curated and hosted by CIO East Africa for the technology practitioners within the region.

In his new role, Njuguna will oversee Technology and Operations alongside Digital Transformation and Customer Experience.

The Bachelor’s of Science graduate holds an MBA from Geneva College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has more than 18 years of experience in IT, 13 of which he has spent in banking and financial Services.

During his illustrious career, he has held various technical and senior management roles locally, regionally and internationally. Prior to joining HF Group, he worked at Commercial Bank of Africa as the Head of Information Technology.
