Google Kenya looking for Industry Analyst to join its staff

Google is searching for a full-time industry analyst whose job description includes sales and account management.

According to an accompanying message along with the advertisement for the job, people who apply should be both tech savvy and able to get along with people.

“Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google’s key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users,” states the message.

The successful candidate will be have various responsibilities including developing data-driven recommendations that align with client marketing objectives and help them grow by converting online activity into business generation, both online and in-store, evangelize web analytics, conversion best practices and adoption of core products/tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to Large Customer Sales (LCS) stakeholders including clients, agencies and other relevant third parties and develop and collate best practice frameworks, business collateral and case studies that sales teams can use to enhance client. S/he will also be required to acquire deep knowledge of the industry, its competitive landscape, client products and key business issues in order to tailor recommendations accordingly and use expertise in conversion to grow clients’ business.

The minimum qualifications required to get the job is one of either a  BA or BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
