From the ICT PS to a Bitcoin Book Author: Africa Fintech Summit’s Speaker List
The stage has been set for one of Africa’s biggest Financial Technology events, the Africa Fintech Summit 2022. Big players in the African have been warming up to this event because of the personalities it will attract, the topics of discussion, and most importantly the speakers at the Summit.
The Africa Fintech Summit also boasts an array of experienced panelists who have been influential in the fintech space for a while. These includes the likes of Ali Hussein the Chairman at Association of Fintechs in Kenya, Kevin Mutiso the Chairman of the Digital Lenders Association, Kamal Budhabatti the CEO at Little, Mbugua Njihia the Head of Business at Sure Corporation among others.
The panels will be exciting and entertaining as these different players in the market come together to share their varied opinions on matters fintech. On top of that, there will be interesting and informative speeches from an experienced list of speakers.

Jerome Ochieng
The top of the cream for the speaker list is the Permanent Secretary (PS) of Innovation at the Kenyan Ministry of ICT, Jerome Ochieng’. The PS will share his perspective, and that of the Ministry, to the future of banking in an era of fintech disruption.

Until his appointment at the Ministry, Jerome was the Director of the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) at the National Treasury and a member, Board of Directors at the Information, Communication Authority
Lanre Bamisebi

Kennedy Mubita
Kennedy’s talk at the dx5 Fintech Summit will be on how we can rewire the Bank DNA. Kennedy, who is a partner at SC Ventures, has banking and management experience from various countries.
SC Ventures is Standard Chartered Bank’s Venture Capital arm, investing in FinTech companies in growing markets around the world.
Russell Okoth
Russell is among the speakers that will speak on Day 2 of the Africa Fintech Summit and will bring his experience in the market as he talks about securing the digital bank. He is the Chief Information Security Officer at Apex Fintech Solutions.
He is an accomplished leader with over 20 years’ experience in Information security, risk & compliance and offering expertise to various industry sectors such as Retail, Telecommunication, Insurance, Government and Financial.

Bob Seeman
This Fintech couldn’t be complete without someone who can talk about the currently trending and controversial cryptocurrency sector. At the Summit, Bob Seeman will unbundle bitcoin, in his keynote speech titled ‘Coinmen: Unbundling Bitcoin’. Bob is the Managing Partner at CyberCurb.
He is the author of the book “The Coinmen”, the most comprehensive critique of bitcoin, and speaks at investor, cybersecurity, money-laundering, regulatory and law-enforcement conferences throughout the world. Bob is a Senior Advisor at Endeavor which identifies and industrializes game changing technology for the US Government.
