Ericsson To Consider Digital Collaborations In Kenya
The Ericsson leadership has recently concluded a visit to Kenya as part of Ericsson’s commitment to harness the potential of connectivity and technology that drives Africa’s digital transformation journey.
While in the country, the leadership team met and engaged with partners, customers, stakeholders, and industry leaders. The team delved into how Kenya’s dynamic telecommunications landscape can collaborate with and leverage Ericsson’s leadership in telecommunications and innovative solutions to leapfrog sustainable development and bolster economic progress.
The delegation also touched on the pivotal role that advanced mobile connectivity and emerging technologies, like 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cloud computing, will play in shaping connectivity in Kenya.

As part of the continent-wide #AfricaInMotion campaign, Ericsson and its partners have contributed to laying the foundation for the country’s digital transformation by providing crucial network infrastructure equipment and services for all generations telecommunications. The Ericsson Wallet Platform has also significantly contributed to the financial inclusion and empowerment in Kenya as well as across the continent.
Kenya is a key beneficiary of Ericsson’s numerous pan-African and global initiatives including boosting the digital skills in Africa in partnership with Smart Africa Digital Academy, mapping one million schools under the Giga Initiative with the UNICEF, collaborating with The Africa Telecommunications Union for spectrum recommendation, and empowering young talents and innovation under the Ericsson Graduate Program and the Ericsson Innovation Awards.
