dx100 Awards: The Digital Transformation Journey Enablers
Organisations should place more value on their employees if they want to be more successful in their digital transformation journeys says Romeo Mabasa, Business Development Manager Africa Regions, PeopleCert.
Speaking during his presentation on The Digital Transformation Journey Enablers, on Friday at the dx100 Symposium and Awards, Mabaya argued that while people play a very crucial role in the overall performance of organisations, they are often overlooked especially when technology adoption happens.
“The four enablers of digital transformation are data, technology, people and processes. However, technology is replacing the love of people. We cannot achieve digital transformation or new technology until we renew the passion that we have the passion for people.

“When people realise that their companies are not changing enough so they change organisations. Digital transformation is not only about customers but also employees. The customers bring in revenues, we often overlook the value that our employees bring,” he said.
He urged organisations to renew their passion for employees by providing them with opportunities for learning and involving them in decision-making. Through learning, he said employees would be more knowledgeable for the benefit of employers.
“We need to reenergize our teams. It is not the strongest of the species or the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change,” he stated.
