Djembe Communications recently announced the launch of its mobile application ‘Djembe Insights’. The app will provide free mobile access to unique perspectives on the African market including research reports, thought leadership articles, key trends and data, and event listings.
Users of the app will be able to view the “Job Creation in Sub-Saharan Africa: Entrepreneurs, Governments and Innovation” report commissioned by Djembe in associations with Forbes Insights, in addition to future research and analysis.
Furthermore, the application will be a gateway to Djembe Connect, a private social network with over 500 likeminded influencers, opinion leaders and experts that share a passion for Africa. The app is an essential tool for individuals, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs interested in connecting with Africa via business opportunities, networking and fostering compelling conversations using the Djembe Connect platform, a virtual space for networking and collaboration.

Commenting on the launch, Mitchell Prather, Managing Director, Djembe Communications, said: “The increased access to mobile devices and information has led to some innovative thinking on Africa, so we are excited to be the first African communications consultancy to introduce a mobile app focused on the continent. The app demonstrates our commitment towards furthering informed discourse on Africa and will provide unique insights and analysis in a user friendly way and offer a networking platform for users from a variety of backgrounds who share our passion.”
The Djembe Insights app will also be useful to niche business communities, start-up groups, students and universities to create opinion polls and participate in ad hoc surveys on key African trends and issues through the Djembe Insights private community. Djembe Insights’ private community allows people from all walks to interact privately and exclusively, and become part of an active group gathered by common interests.
Prather further added, “Technology that exists today is enabling connectivity and bringing power to people that have been until now off the grid. Government, people and businesses have to adapt to change, to review their processes and how they engage with markets and customers.”
