Control Risks, the a global risk consultancy specialising in political, security and integrity risk has signed up to sponsor the upcoming CIO100 Symposium & Awards event to be held from 9th-11th November 2016.
“CIO100 means 2 daysnetworking on topical issues within IT and its emerging trends. In keeping with the theme, I look forward to engaging with other business leaders in the region on how we can enhance business excellence through technology,” said Daniel Heal, Senior Partner at Control Risks Office in Nairobi.
During the Control Risks’ sponsorship Cheque presentation witnessed by CIO East Africa Director Andrew Karanja, the Senior Partner Heal said the company has been well-received in the region and that the business is growing.

Control Risks Director for Cyber Security Wendy Cheshire will be at the Symposium and is expected to make a presentation titled Security: Empowering Employees while Safeguarding Data.
According to Daniel Heal, the director Cyber Security will cut through the technical jargon and discuss the core issues that need to be tackled by those responsible for cyber risk and security and employees as cyber is a business issue, not just an IT issue.
Control Risks provides a unique combination of cyber expertise on enterprise risk management, security programme delivery and crisis response to help organisations secure their information and protect business assets.

Now in its sixth year, the two day event has become an acknowledged mark of excellence honouring organization’s senior information technology executives from across the enterprise and government, who have created value for their companies through the use of IT.
Winners of this year’s CIO100 will be announced and honoured at a gala ceremony. Traditionally, the CIO100 Symposium & Awards annual event is held at Enashipai Spa & Resort in Naivasha, Kenya every month of November bringing together senior end user IT related professionals, business leaders and technology providers together to showcase, network and interact on trending innovations and emerging technologies for business value in the region.

Last year the event attracted more than 300 senior IT and business executives from East Africa that saw Jack Maina, CIO of Britam emerged the CIO of the year.
