Computer Learning Centre (CLC Africa) has joined the Fortinet’s NSE Training Institute’s Authorized Training Center programme (ATCs) to deliver expert-level training to IT professionals in East Africa.
The Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) programme, their site says, “is an eight-level training and certification programme designed to provide technical professionals with an independent validation of their network security skills and experience.” The NSE programme works like the top online courses with an extensive range of “self-paced and instructor-led courses, as well as practical, experiential exercises that demonstrate mastery of complex network security concepts.”
By joining the ATC network, CLC Africa becomes the first Fortinet ATC providing NSE courses to respond appropriately to the challenges presented by digital innovations and the cybersecurity threat landscape.

“The CLC Africa appointment is strategically important, as their highly structured training programs will help partners and end-users in East Africa gain in-depth knowledge of Fortinet’s solutions. They will also help partners complete their certification criteria as part of the Fortinet Engage Partner Program, which is key in our strategy to broaden and strengthen our channel network in the coming year,” says Imran Chaudhrey, Country Manager East Africa at Fortinet.
The CLC Africa appointment is strategically important, as their highly structured training programs will help partners and end-users in East Africa gain in-depth knowledge of Fortinet’s solutions.
This is especially critical during COVID-19 times when technology is upending existing business models and structures and reskilling, upskilling and basically just skilling, is becoming even more relevant. This partnership does more than validate the essence of CLC Africa as a training institution.
“Fortinet is a market leader in East Africa with an excellent value proposition in providing end to end security solutions to Enterprises, small business and the mid-market. We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with Fortinet to strengthen the technical capabilities of their partners and help end-users take full advantage of Fortinet’s cybersecurity solutions across their IT infrastructure,” states Aunally Maloo, CEO at CLC Africa.

CLC Africa was established in 1999 as an authorised training and testing centre. They serve to bridge the gap between the classroom and real-life technical competency, the one thing all employers agree is necessary for a modern business to thrive. Their courses are full-time, evenings and flexible part-time while also available on-site. This partnership is a testament to its success as a learning institution.
