CIO East Africa has officially launched the applications for #CIO100AwardsEA, an annual 3-day summit that fetes outstanding IT projects within the East African region.
In its 11th year and still going strong, the CIO100 Awards fete 100 organisations that have shown outstanding results for leveraging technology to innovate ways of delivering business value, in a three-day summit. This event is usually held in Naivasha.
The process begins with the submission of applications that precede a thorough examination. From here, the selection is made via a survey process. The survey examines how both private and public organisations, purchase, deploy, and use IT. It is a demand-side survey whose objective is to identify trends in the adoption and use of IT in Eastern Africa. The output of the survey is then documented in the CIO100 East Africa Megatrends Report and the CIO100 Awards, the most sort after Awards in East Africa’s IT ecosystem. When selected by the survey team which consists of a panel, the nominees then proceed to compete for various identified categories.

The CIO100 Awards recognise excellence in the adoption and use of ICT, awarding both the organisation and the Chief Information Officer (CIO), or an equivalent in the organisation. The winners of the CIO100 Awards are recognised at the CIO100 Symposium and Awards, a two-day high energy celebration of IT excellence, marked with networking opportunities and knowledge sharing that acknowledges the mark of enterprise excellence in the region.
Honorees get notified by email followed with a letter, and are included in the coverage of the awards on www.cio.co.ke website and the CIO East Africa magazine.
