Check Point recently celebrated its first half of the year achievement at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel in Nairobi, inviting all its partners to the exclusive partners event.
Dubbed; Partnership Appreciation Forum, the event hosted Checkpoint businesses partners and industry peers to celebrate their First-Half (H1) Awards as the company launched its new frame of work and strategy.
“Check Point continues to offer a complete security architecture defending enterprises’ networks to mobile devices and the most comprehensive and intuitive security management,” said Kendi Nderitu, General Manager for Check Point in Central Africa. Adding; “We value your partnership and wish to work together even going forward to ensure a secure continent and beyond.”

The partnership appreciation forum was to recognize and honor the input of Check Point’s affiliate companies in the first half of their calendar year. It was also to unveil the new business model and strategy for upscaling sales and enhancing clients’ satisfaction.
The Awards were won differently as per the categories.
With Dimension Data Group scooping the Top-Tier Business Partner Award, Sybyl Kenya won the Most Sales Acquisition Award. The Highest Growth Partner Award went to Isolutions Associates while Bytes Technologies won the Most Emerging Technology Bookings Award.

Others included The Most Specializations Award won by Next Technologies and The Top Achiever Award presented to Elaab Uganda,
Speaking at the forum, Pankaj Bhula – New Regional Director of Check Point in Africa – said, “Check Point first pioneered the industry with Firewall-1 and its patented stateful inspection technology. Our potential customers include tens of thousands of businesses and organizations of all sizes including all Fortune 100 companies.”
He further noted the need for securing businesses pointing out that cyberattacks and data related fraud remains a top global calamity, urging everyone to take personal responsibility towards being secure.

“We have made the world secure for the last 25 years and hereby commit to make the experience even better in the next 25 years and beyond,” added Pankaj.
At the forum, Check Point announced the appointments of Pankaj Bhula as their new Regional Director in Africa and Moses Kiganda as the Team Lead for East Africa. Kendi Nderitu’s elevation from the Country Lead for East and North Africa to the General Manager for Central Africa was also stated at the Villa Rosa hotel event.
In their new roles, Pankaj will superintend the company’s operations in the continent, answering to the global office while Nderitu takes charge of the Central Region of Africa, encompassing the East, West and Central Africa. She answers to Pankaj, while Moses, who will henceforth lead the East African team, will answer to Kendi.
Check Point also unveiled its new business strategy, launching its Engage mobile phone app that allows for exclusive online business operations.
