The next three billion internet users will come from frontier markets and BRCK, a Kenyan based company with clients across the globe is the platform that will connect them, said Philip Walton, Co-Founder, BRCK during the just concluded premier IoT Summit, organized by CIO East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya.
In his presentation, Walton pointed out three key areas BRCK was working on. This included connectivity where BRCK has partnered with Facebook to rollout 1,500 Moja units in Rwanda and Kenya.
In the Education platform, BRCK has sold over 200 Kio Kits to 11 countries while in the  IoT ecosystem, BRCK is currently rolling out multiple projects to track and manage vehicles, greenhouses, and water meters

In May 2017, BRCK unveiled its SupaBRCK which they termed as a waterproof, solar-powered Wi-Fi box that operates as a 3G hotspot and off-grid server. SupaBRCK follows BRCK’s debut product, launched in 2013 to tackle issues around power and viable internet options.
Unlike BRCK version 1 that delivered connectivity and USB charging for up to 20 devices, the new SupaBRCK with its dual core processor and a five terabyte hard drive can be mounted in almost any environment to provide up to 100 internet connections , streaming video for 50 devices and enough server capacity to run a Linux stack.
