Bayobab Appoints Sajid Khan Regional Managing Director

Bayobab has appointed Sajid Ahmad Khan as Regional Managing Director for South and East Africa, effective 5 January 2026. In this new role, Khan will oversee Bayobab’s operations across the region while directly leading the Bayobab Kenya business.

He will be responsible for driving commercial performance, accelerating network monetisation, and strengthening customer value delivery through strategic leadership and cross‑border collaboration.

MTN Digital Infrastructure, commercially trading as Bayobab, has charged Khan with a mandate to translate Bayobab’s pan‑African connectivity vision into regional impact. He brings over 26 years of global leadership experience spanning Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to transform traditional operating models into agile, digitally enabled, high‑performing businesses.

Most recently, Sajid served as Group Managing Director – Digital Services at SEACOM, where he led multiple Leadership roles across the SEACOM Group footprint. Before this, he held senior roles at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Expresso Telecom, Etisalat, du, and the Aditya Birla Group.
