Global analyst house Ovum have awarded IT Service Management (ITSM) leader Axios Systems the highest rating in four key assessment categories.
Highlighted within the Ovum Decision Matrix for ITSM powered by software-as-a-service (SaaS), the categories in which Axios scooped the top position included Maturity where they focused on solution pedigree and enterprise fit. The second award was on Enterprise fit where they identified the potential ROI period and solution alignment.
Axios also scooped the top position on Reporting and analytics where they communicated the value of IT delivery and performance management and Core ITIL functionality where they emphasized ITIL-aligned functionality, including support for incident and change management.

Ovum’s independent evaluation helps senior IT leaders compare ITSM solutions within the SaaS space. The Ovum findings echo Axios’ core commitment to helping enterprises strengthen their IT maturity levels. With higher IT maturity, organizations can better manage costs, become increasingly efficient in service delivery across IT and all departments, and improve customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.
Noting that the market includes hundreds of service management providers, Ovum praised Axios’ ITSM solution, assyst. The analysts wrote:
“In assyst, Axios offers a feature-rich ITSM solution. The company has long been known for its strong service catalog technology, and this is complemented by functionality that not only supports organizations’ efforts in aligning with ITIL best-practices, but also in supporting and enabling the mobile workforce.

“Axios assyst is represented very well in this report, evidence of the company’s strong functionality in support of ITSM initiatives.”
“Axios assyst10 offers capabilities that support 15 ITIL processes, and at the heart of the adoption approach advocated by Axios is the CMDB. The Impact Explorer is a feature that demonstrates how good configuration management practices can benefit service management, enabling those troubleshooting an issue to see the relationships between various configuration items (CIs). This level of insight also benefits other processes, such as incident management, and in turn can improve the service being delivered to the business.”
Tasos Symeonides, CEO at Axios Systems, welcomed Ovum’s insights, saying, “We’re truly delighted that Ovum has recognized our commitment to creating and delivering service management solutions that don’t just answer the market’s needs, but drive it forward. Increasingly, IT leaders want to leverage the innovation which our solution assyst delivers, while benefiting from the convenience, flexibility and reliability of service management powered by SaaS.”
