AWS onboards Robin Njiru to lead business in East Africa

Amazon Web Services (AWS), leader in Cloud Computing & a subsidiary of Amazon, has announced the appointment of Robin Njiru as their new Business Lead in East Africa.

Working closely with various teams across AWS, he will build out a robust East Africa business. Robin holds a BSc. in Computer Science and is currently pursuing a MSc. in Professional Practice-Leading Sales Transformation from Middlesex University. He brings over 16 years’ experience in leading & growing businesses for multinationals in the East & Southern Africa region with skills in Organizational Leadership & Development, Strategic Execution, Channel Management and Business Development across multiple industries & verticals.

Prior to joining AWS, Njiru was the Regional Director for General Business at SAP for three years, where he led the multi-year business growth into the greater East Africa.

Robin, inspired by a desire to continuously improve himself and all around him in achieving  sustainable and impactful success, has successfully led multiple teams over eight years at Microsoft across East & Southern Africa. He believes in leveraging relevant technology as a key differentiator in the world today, and plays a pivotal role in improving organizations and people’s lives.
