ASUS writing its name in the history of Kenya’s gaming industry

Even with the luck of funding the gaming industry has come a long way, thanks to innovations such as, incubation hubs and the Internet which have cultivated a community of gamers within the country. According to newzoo, providers of data on the very dynamic digital games market and its gamers, Kenya is among the Top 100 Countries by Game Revenues, coming in at number 78 with revenues of US $ 29 Million based on consumer revenues generated by companies in the global games industry.
One of the global company’s helping Kenya reach such heights in this realm is ASUS, ASUS this year has been sponsoring various events to bring gamers together some of the events included; Gaming LAN party, where ASUS showcased their ASUS GL552J gaming machine, and also appearing as exhibitors at the third version of Nairobi’s Comic Convention, NAICCON.
“The 1UP Elite LAN party is a great place for gamers to socialize and have fun from dusk till dawn. There are NO ENTRY charges and it is free to all to attend. Our LAN parties have been a venue for both PC and console gaming lovers. Much activies revolve the LAN party through product showcase, guest presentations, challenges, disscussions and much more,” reads a brief description of the event on Gaming for Kenya’s Facebook page.

ASUS is also contributing to Kenya’s revenue spend on gaming, directly, by making their gadgets available in the Kenyan markets for gamers to purchase and fully immerse themselves in the full gaming experience. Just recently the ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced upgrades to two of their gaming Laptops and the launch of a new one.
ROG announced the updated ROG GL552VW and GL752VW gaming laptops, gaming laptops, which are powered by the 6th-generation Intel® Core™ i7 (‘Skylake’) processor and up to NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX™ 960 discrete graphics and launched the G752, a powerful gaming laptop powered by a 6th-generation Intel® Core® i7 (‘Skylake’) processor and up to NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX™ 980M discrete graphics.
ROG G752 has an aggressive design and sports the new ROG Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper color scheme. It features the ROG-exclusive mobile 3D Vapor Chamber thermal system for more efficient cooling and increased stability, along with a backlit anti-ghosting gaming keyboard with 30-key rollover for precise input. ROG G752 can be upgraded to up to 64GB DDR4 RAM for faster, more energy-efficient performance.

And according to an official statement published on the official ASUS Kenya Facebook page, the Computer Company is set to continue its support of Kenya’s budding game industry in the coming years.
