Redstor, a leading South Africa-based cloud data management SaaS business, has appointed Angela Kasandi to be the Channel Account Manager.
This move follows the company’s vision to not only strengthen and expand its operations in the Kenyan market but also its partnership with Internet Solutions(IS), who is currently the sole distributors of Redstor’s data management and backup solutions in the country. Redstor has seen a market share growth of around 50% annually in the last four years.
Angela will be stationed at IS Kenya and will ensure that customers receive the best service from Redstor. She will work towards increasing Redstor’s client base and enhancing service provision to current IS customers in Kenya alongside exploring future business opportunities in the country.

Redstor Country Manager for African region, Shaun Searle said that since their entrance into the Kenyan market in 2014, they have gained numerous relationships with other organizations. These he said, have since recognized great value in Redstor’s pioneering cloud data management service. The company will consequently be investing further in the region. He lauded Angela, who he said will be as a local resource in Kenya.
“Angela will be specifically focused on adding further value to our existing client base as well as new business acquisition in the form of lead generation and opportunity qualification. She is Redstor’s first dedicated resource on the continent outside of South Africa and as the company continues to expand, further appointments will be done in Mozambique and other regions.” Shaun Searle.
Commenting on the new developments, Internet Solutions Managing Director Richard Hechle said that the company was keen on embracing strategic partnerships that will help the firm introduce data management and backup solutions that enhance its value proposition to clients.
“Since we started our partnership with Redstor in 2014, we have been able to introduce to our clients a set of world-class leading-edge products and services, that deliver the future of data management in the market,” Hechle said.

Hechle noted that going forward, the two companies will be focusing on making it easier for organisations to access and manage their data wherever it is stored, empowering IT departments while reducing costs, simplifying deployment and billing, improving security and compliance and providing borderless visibility of the entire data estate.
Through the partnership, Internet Solutions and Redstor are looking to capitalise on the growing interest and demand in data management and backup solutions in Kenya to grow their revenues.
