The AITEC Banking and Mobile Money COMESA Conference has been rescheduled to 30-31 Aug 2016 following a partnership that was formed between Aly-Khan Satchu and AITEC.
AITEC’s 10th anniversary Banking and Mobile Money Conference will have Aly-Khan Satchu, a financial markets analyst as the conference chairman.
Announcing the partnership with AITEC Africa, Satchu, head of Rich Management, said: “AITEC’s Banking & Mobile Money Conference has played a valuable role over the past decade in providing an annual educational and networking platform for the financial services sector. We are partnering with them this year because we feel there is an urgent need for management teams across all financial institutions to up their game in terms of risk management, technology selection and deployment and customer engagement strategies. This conference more than any other provides the fresh perspectives and leading-edge insights that our bankers need – especially if we are serious about developing Nairobi as an international financial centre.”

The theme of this year’s conference will be “Technology to secure and transform financial services”, with 300 senior managers from banks, MFIs and insurance companies attending from across the region.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Rich Management to host our 10th annual conference,” said Sean Moroney, founder and chairman of AITEC Africa. “We want the conference programme to have a major positive impact across the sector. Especially following the recent bank failures in Kenya, it is a good time to take stock, identify best practices and challenge managers to establish world class systems and services.”
