AFRINIC is set to elect three new members to its Board during its Annual General Members Meeting (AGMM) set to take place from 31st May-02 June 2017, at the ongoing Africa Internet Summit.
This was announced by Mr Pierre S. Dandjinou during the Africa Internet Summit event being held at The Boma Hotel, Nairobi Kenya. Dandjinou announced that the elections would take place during the event. He said that only AFRINIC members are allowed to vote, adding that Africa Internet Summit participants are invited to watch.
The seats being competed for are:

Seat 3 (Indian Ocean), which is currently held by Kris Seeburn, Seat 4 (Central Africa), which is currently held by Christian D. Bope and Seat 8 (Non-geographical),which is currently held by Andrew Alston.
Once elected, the official will fill the above seats to serve three-year terms from July 2017 to June 2020.
Apart from in person nominations AFRINIC also had provisions for people to vote online as electronic voting and appointment of proxies was opened on the 19th of May and will be closed on Thursday 1 June 2017 on the day of the AGMM. The services are available through the MyAFRINIC portal to members in good standing.
