Kenya will also play host of two other billionaires David Rockefeller and Strive Masiyiwa are expected in the country this week for a major Agriculture forum
The African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) will run from September 6th to September 9th 2016 and will be hosted at United Nations Complex in Gigiri.. The event has attracted over 2000 delegates and comes a few weeks after the TICAD 6 event that saw over 20 African leaders attend the event.
Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo is also expected at the forum to be hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu has confirmed the three Billionaires attendance of the summit.
“This Forum brings together stakeholders in Africa to share the expertise, advance policies and secure investments in agriculture that will move African agriculture forward.The forum will encourage investment in the agricultural sector, to end hunger, improve nutrition, and drive economic opportunities for Africa and its people,” read Manoah’s statement.
AGRF has attracted political and financial support from development partners and the private sector. Some Heads of State are due to attend the Forum, and will be joined by leading philanthropists such as Bill Gates, African telecoms entrepreneur Strive Masiyiwa. Philanthropist David Rockefeller and Administrator of USAID Gayle Smith.

Gates is an American business magnate and entrepreneur who has been running various philanthropist work in Kenya where he recently lauded innovations by young Africans—including Kenyans—which he said are already changing the word.
However, it is not the first time Bill Gates will be visiting Kenya. In 2009, Gates visited Kenya unannounced. He arrived in Eldoret Town where he is supports hundreds of people on anti-retrovirals under his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The programme was being undertaken under Eldoret-based Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital’s Academic Model for the Prevention of HIV and Aids (Ampath).
On the other hand, Rockefeller is a former American banker who served as chairman and chief executive officer of Chase Manhattan Corporation and the oldest living member of the Rockefeller family and family patriarch since July 2004 while Strive Masiyiwa is a London-based Zimbabwean businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
