3G Direct Pay appoints Offer Gat as Chairman

3G direct pay Limited, East and South African online payment service provider has announced the appointment of Mr. Offer Gat, as Chairman of 3G Direct Pay with effect from March.

Offer Gat is an Israel National, with a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Tel Aviv University and BA in Political Science from the same university. Prior to his appointment Offer Gat has been the CEO of El Al Israel Airlines Ltd.’s North American operations and its VP Global Sales, and has 30 years of extensive experience in General and Financial Management, Strategy and M&A in the Aviation and Tourism Industry.

Mr. Gat has expressed fulfilled eagerness to work with the team in the leading online payments processor for e commerce, providing payment solution services to hundreds of travel related businesses in East and Southern Africa, focusing on Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Zanzibar, accepting all major credit cards, mobile money and e-wallets, to deliver the best products and services to all clients.

Gat’s appointment comes a few months after 3G Direct Pay unveiled a new secure prepaid credit card for both offline and online payments plus ATM withdrawals worldwide.

The card has the ability to be controlled and managed online and also allows cardholders to track all their transactions online. The firm expects the card to act as a new mode of settlement to enable users to overcome the challenges and limitations that come with online and offline transfers as well as withdrawals in addition to the hundreds of transfers the firm handles for travel providers.

The Payoneer Mastercard is also a product by 3G Direct Pay and Payoneer which they came up with after the two entered into a partnership to provide an end-to-end solution that allows hotels, airlines, and travel agents, among other players in the hospitality industry to send and receive money online more securely and cheaper across borders.

Since 2006, 3G direct pay has been providing an open credit card processing platform where the end customer can shop online with any provider and can also pay as real –time using any payment option. The providers use the same online payment platform to sell their products / services and safely collect any form of payment. 3G Direct Pay basically fills the online gap between the providers and the consumers.
