The Year ahead forum, an annual half day technology event curated by CIO East Africa, has officially kicked off at the Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Themed; Turning Accelerated Disruption into Opportunities, the forum hosted the technology C-Suites from across the East African region to harness the power of disruptive technologies in order to better shape business experience.
Speaking at the forum, Laura CHite, CEO CIO East Africa, appreciated the contribution technology has made in strengthening different businesses across the region and globally.

She posted a challenge to the fast adopters of technology to incorporate the slow adopters of tech into their model. She said; Lets think of how we can help those slowly adopting tech into heir operations so that we can grow together, leveraging on the disruptive technologies.”
Mercy Wanjau, the Ag. Director General at the Communications Authority, also spoke at the forum, noting the vitality for disruption, terming and redundant businesses as being vulnerable to extinction.
She said, “The only constant in life is Change and disruption has become part of this change.” Adding; “Scale the edge and structure reforms through creative use of disruptive technologies as it presents innumerable opportunities for businesses and organisations.”
