SysArmy, a community of system administrators and IT professionals from Argentina, was founded to provide, “support for those who give support.”
Ariel Jolo, SysArmy’s founder, explains: “SysArmy’s membership is comprised of system and network administrators working across Argentina. “SysArmy confirms the impact of open source across the technology sector. It’s not just about software developers and development, but importantly the use communities that now rely on open source to deliver services and support systems.” adds OSI General Manager Patrick Masson. “The OSI is keen to support all kinds of free and open source software communities, from typical development-centric software projects, to the growing number of end-user communities, such as SysArmy, which represents those working with open source software on a daily basis.”
The OSI Affiliate Member Program, is available at no-cost to non-profits, educational institutions and government agencies–independent groups with a commitment to open source–that support OSI’s mission to raise awareness and adoption of open source software and to build bridges among different constituencies in the open source community.
