BlockBit Solutions, an ANZ based technology company has partnered with Health Hub Project New Zealand (HHPNZ) to drive healthcare using a technology platform.
The health care innovation is built on Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain) combined with Data Science, IoT and Digital Identity. It is intended to drive healthcare in new directions for the future both locally and internationally.
This approach, dubbed Patient First, has been described as a leading edge technology in New Zealnd that provide patients with the right to own their medical records and health care practitioners the ability to streamline processes and offer personalized care with efficiency.

When fully in place, the HHPNZ platform will create a positive, seamless patient experience across every touchpoint of health care. Patients will have access to mobile consultations from anywhere in real time, be able to make electronic updates to their medical history and have control over their medical record.
The platform will also help eliminate the need for paying unnecessary costs for fragmented medical data management and eliminate manual data entry and updates, thereby reducing costs and delays in healthcare provision.
