Nikki Summers has been appointed Sage’s new regional director for East Africa replacing Billy Owino now new CEO for TransUnion, who held the position for a year.
Nikki who has been at Sage since 2008, on different capacities will be responsible for the growth and positioning of Sage in East Africa.
“I’m enthusiastic about the potential of the East African market and about supporting local businesses in the region in realising their ambitions,” says Summers. “I know the market well because I have been living in Kenya for almost a decade, and I’m really excited to have this opportunity.”

Summers joins the East African team from leading east and West Africa SageONE.
“Nikki has played a key role in driving our growth in East Africa over the past few years, and has an excellent understanding of the market. With her passion for the Sage brand, her established relationships with the key players in the region, and her management acumen, Nikki is the perfect person to lead our business in this fast-growing market,” said Anton van Heerden, Managing Director and Executive Vice-President, Africa & Middle East at Sage.
