CIO East Africa announced today that Microsoft is a Silver Sponsor of the upcoming Africa Cloud Summit, which will bring together the region’s leaders and experts later this month for two days of conversations about one of the industry’s hottest topics.
Microsoft is an ideal partner, given its cloud-first approach, mobile-oriented strategy and commitment to East Africa, said Harry Hare, editorial director of CIO East Africa, the region’s leading publication and website for IT professionals.
The company’s experts will discuss A Cloud for Good, a book the company recently published and what it calls a “roadmap to a trusted, responsive and inclusive cloud.”

As part of its efforts to make that a reality, the company recently announced a partnership with Liquid Telecom to expand continent-wide access to cloud-based offerings such as Office 365 and Azure.
The event, set for 15-16 March in Nairobi, Kenya will feature presentations from high-level private- and public-sector IT professionals from throughout East Africa who work with the cloud and know what it takes to do so effectively.
We are grateful for Microsoft’s support, both for this event and for the support they provide to people in Kenya, throughout the region and across the continent, Hare added.
