Microsoft owned social network, LinkedIn was experiencing issues yesterday. The issues affected users on both mobile and desktop. Microsoft did not give any reasons as to what caused the outage, but the LinkedIn twitter page was at hand to jokingly single out a WandaVision character as the main culprit.
It’s rare for LinkedIn to experience outages. LinkedIn last experienced widespread issues in January last year, when users weren’t able to post to the service or make new connections. Today’s outage affected the entire website, and it wasn’t loading for most users at all.
The LinkedIn homepage had been showing a generic “An error has occured” message. This gave users enough of a reason to know that the site was experiencing an irregular service interruption.

The LinkedIn API Status and Incidents page notes that the company was investigating the issue.“We are currently experiencing an issue across the platform that may cause some API requests to take longer or fail unexpectedly. We are investigating the issue and working on a resolution,” said Microsoft representatives.
