Lake Hub, Western Kenya’s innovation and technology hub have organized KIDS CODE CAMP whereby, during the long December holidays, they will teach and instruct kids on how computers work and the logic behind it all.
The camp that begins on 30th November till 4th December, will be held in Arya Primary School computer lab. It will cost Ksh. 1,000/= only per child for the 5 days.
Kids will be taken through different computer coding programmes to help them understand computer logic and how they work. Lake Hub will also give the kids the fundamentals that will make them the ultimate computer programmers besides making them logical thinkers.

Since its launch earlier this year, Kids Code Camp is among some of the projects the Hub is promoting. Other projects include Village Code (which focuses on teaching children programming and entrepreneurial skills) and Kisumu Schools Online Project (helps schools in western Kenya receive free websites).
The main aim of these projects is to bring as many schools as possible to the 21st century, increase connectivity and putting giving the world access to information on them.
Created to support individuals and businesses with an interest in technology, majorly concerns itself to bring together entrepreneurs, programmers, and creatives, connecting them to partners, resources and mentors.
