#KenyaLive will deliver 50 live broadcasts over 11 days, allowing people from all over the world to experience, for the first time ever, an extraordinary Kenyan bush to beach safari via Twitter’s Periscope App.
To see the live broadcasts, which will last between 10-20 minutes twice daily, one in the morning and the other in the evening, visit discoverafrica.com/herdtrackerlive and register your email address to receive reminders for live broadcasts, which will be hosted live on periscope.tv/herdtracker and the live safari microsite. You can also follow @herdtracker and @makeitkenya on Facebook and Twitter for notifications on when broadcasts are going live.
The wildebeest migration is a major event in Kenya and the Mara’s ecosystem, and one of the most unique wildlife experiences on the planet. The live broadcast is happening to allow people all over the world to get a taste of its magnificence, and to experience the true luxury experience of staying in the Mara and viewing nature at its very best.

Your safari hosts will be Carel Verhoef and Andre Van Kets of DiscoverAfrica.com and co-creators of the HerdTracker migration app, which allows people to track the migration in real time on aGoogle Map throughout the year to identity the best time of year to see the great migration.
“We wanted to give people an authentic view of what it is like to be on safari. The footage will be raw and authentic and not edited in studios like most wildlife documentaries. Many people would love to see a migration, for example as it happens rather than wait to see an edited video of it. Wildlife is best experienced live, said Andre Van Kets, Director of Discover Africa.
