INTRASOFT International has gone live with the Kenya Police Sacco, one of the leading savings and credit co-operative society (SACCO) in the country. The global ICT company has put into operation INTRASOFT’s PROFITS® for SACCO core banking system and i-PROFITS® internet banking solution, both of which went up on 1 June 2020.
Speaking on the same, Solomon A. Atsiaya, CEO Kenya Police Sacco commented, “Long before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors had decided for the SACCO to become fully digital. This would be done through embracing technology to increase our level of business resilience, competitive advantage and operational efficiency. Our digitisation journey focuses on adopting secure, robust, and reliable technology to fulfil our mission of savings mobilisation and provision of cost-effective products and services to our members. We commend INTRASOFT for taking us live on the core banking system successfully.”
INTRASOFT’s collaboration with this leading Kenyan Sacco was announced just over a year ago, signalling the fast pace of the project and the commitment with which both parties have embraced the transformation process. Kenya Police Sacco is already benefiting from PROFITS® customer-centric nature and the exceptional rule-driven engine that enables rapid adaptation to market changes. PROFITS® also comes with powerful APIs that allow the smooth integration with third-party solutions (ERP, CRM, mobile banking), ensuring a digital ecosystem that delivers a seamless customer experience.

We pride ourselves in ensuring the successful adoption of our solutions through our world-class deployment methodologies. As a technology partner, we wish Kenya Police Sacco all the best in their technology journey.”
This is a significant milestone for the 47-year-old Sacco that has continued to invest in state-of-the-art technology to enhance its systems, secure member investments, and provides outstanding digital experiences to over 63,000 members. Kenya Police SACCO has continued to register impressive growth with an asset base of over Kshs 35b and a loan portfolio of Kshs 29b amidst harsh economic times in the last few years.
Kenya Police Sacco CIO, Tony Mutero said, “The fact that the abrupt nature of the Covid-19 pandemic found us in the middle of the project and INTRASOFT teams were able to adjust quickly through remote working and still deliver is a testament of their commitment to their mission; bringing value to their customers. We had a smooth system change with all our branches up and running in no time! We look forward to the system serving the SACCO in this new accelerated digital era.”
