In the light of current risks both positive and negative that come with more children being exposed to the internet at an early age, and as students gear up for the December Holidays,every parent wants their kids to enjoy the holidays but at the same time they want them occupied with positive activities that engage them mentally and physically so as not to fall into wayward activities, @iLabAfrica, Strathmore University is organizing a 10-day Holiday Boot Camp for Primary and High School Students.
The program will take place at @iLabAfrica from 23rd November 2015 to 4th December 2015 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The Bootcamp will cover a range of multimedia subjects including web design, video game programming, 3-D animation, Designed for children of all abilities, we start with the basics and then progress students in a systematic way that is both fun & educational.

Students will also get to create their own games,their own animated stories, projects, and publish their applications to the web. This program will provide a comprehensive learning experience that is highly interactive and extremely effective.
The Students will pursue their tech interests with hands-on, project-based learning experiences at our state of the art computer Laboratories. The Boot Camp will offer fun personalized instruction from industry experts and later on certificates to all participants.
The IT BootCamp has been going on for sometime now and is held on every school holiday,

During the August Holiday, one of the best applications was from Mezmure Dawit, a primary school pupil who created a website using WordPress and blog using Wix, about his favorite football team- FC Barcelona, as well as an animated pirates game. Oracle Kenya also provided mentorship and career coaching for the August holiday edition of the bootcamp.
