Ian Muiruri Says Adios To Konvergenz, Assumes A New Role At Popote Pay

Ian Muiruri, formerly the Business Development Manager at Konvergenz Network Solutions, has been appointed the Head of BFSI & Partnerships at Popote Pay with immediate effect. He becomes the first-ever candidate to fill this position.

In his new role, Muiruri will become part of the executive team that is responsible for bank and other strategic partnerships; engaging at the top executive level and presenting to stakeholders. He will be responsible to prepare and execute contracts while overseeing integration and deployment within timelines. He will also be in charge of maximizing opportunities for the bank’s partners and customers.

He brings expertise spanning 10 years to this new role, having had stints with different giant employers like United Nations Environmental Program, Internet Solutions, and Telkom Kenya, among others.

Most recently Muiruri worked with Konvergenz Network Solutions as the Business Development Manager (BFSI)
prior to which he was the Client Relationship Manager at Telkom Kenya.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Management and a Bachelors of Commerce both from the Africa Nazarene University.
