Safe mode starts your computer up with only the most essential programs and drivers operating and will also stop your PC from connecting to a network. Once you have done this you’ll need to change your settings to display hidden objects in Windows 10. You can do this by following the steps below:
Search for ‘File Explorer Options’ through the Windows search feature at the bottom left of your screen Go to the View tab and select ‘Show hidden files and folders’ Untick ‘Hide file extensions for known file types Untick ‘Hide protected operating system files’
Hit Apply, and then Okay.
All of the files in Windows will now be visible and available for you to access. If you know the file location of the infected file, you can now either navigate your way there or search for it, then right-click on the file and select Delete.
