David Bunei has vacated his post as Cisco General manager following his appointment at Oracle Kenya Managing Director.
Bunei joined Cisco in 2006 and served as Territory Business Manager for over 9 years. He was promoted to the regional GM role in August 2015.
According to his LinkedIn page the responsiblilities at Cisco East Africa spread to the Indian Ocean Islands to drive business growth and execute Cisco’s Go To Market strategy.

He was also responsible for the sales growth and market expansion within the 15 countries within the region.
Bunei holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration.
He further describes himself, on LinkedIn, as an experienced, result oriented business leader with over 17 years experience in IT and Telecom industry.

“Over the last decade I have built trustful relationships with key industry partners, local and global enterprises, Government, FSI, Energy, retail/manufacturing,” says Bunei adding that as an engineer he led highly successful projects across the region that have transformed businesses and public operations.
“While I have a strong technology background the understanding of business outcomes and aligning relevant solutions to solve business challenges has been an important element of my success,” adds Bunei averring that his priority now is to lead customers towards digital transformation of their buinesses.
