Current Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, was yesterday presented with a certificate for breaking the Guinness World Record of being the “most ‘liked’ person on Facebook”.
According to, reuters.com, an online news publication, the presentation of the certificate took place during the premiering of Ronaldo’s personal portrait film “Ronaldo” in London on Monday, where apart from receiving other certificates from Guinness for his other previous fetes, He also attempted to break a selfie record with his fans.
“Posing with a line of fans, Ronaldo sought to break a selfie record upon arrival and was also awarded certificates for other Guinness World Records he had, including “most ‘liked’ person on Facebook”,” the publication reported.

The current Galactico, former Red Devil, broke the most “liked” person on Facebook record on 16th September 2015, with 106,464,840 “likes”. This put him ahead of Colombian vocalist Shakira (b. Shakira Mebarak Ripoll) on 102,721,139 “likes” and US actor Vin Diesel (aka Mark Vincent) on 95,359,888.
Asked, by reuters, if after his soccer playing career he might eye a position as head of FIFA or UEFA, the Real Madrid striker said: “I’m not that smart to be president. I do not worry about that, about what is going to happen in my future.”
“I think I’m still able to play a few more years of football, but in future I have other projects, that will more interesting than being president,” he added.
