AWS Hosts IT Leaders For A Breakfast At CIO100

Cloud service provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS), hosted Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and other IT leaders for a breakfast during the 2024 CIO100 Symposium and Awards.

Centred around data and data management, Edward Kiarie, a Solutions Architect at AWS, talked of the modern data management tools that are on AWS’ arsenal. AWS have a whole program that helps organizations better manage their data. SPEAKER X talked of the Data Driven Everything program as well as a Data Strategy Diagnostic that AWS does to give its clients the best recommendations on how to handle data.

“The D2E program speaks to three parts depending to what stage or where you are as an organization. First, is the vision workshop and this is where you look for inspiration of where to get started. You look at the industry you are in and the customers that you have been able assist on this journey,” Edward Kiarie noted in his presentation at the breakfast.

He also went forward to speak on how AWS can help customers modernize their data management tools, as it has done with a number of customers already.

“Gives you the platform for the priority use cases that you want to do as a business. Be intentional with what you want to do with your data and how you want to go about it,” he further said explaining that this details data collection, data consumption and even its protection

He also insisted that organisations need to start small because it allows them to focus on a smaller part of the longer digital transformation journey, and increasing the chances of having successful digital transformation journeys.

The CIOs and IT Leaders at the breakfast event also shared their insights on the same with some of them being AWS customers already.

The CIO100 Symposium and Awards continues today with the Gala Dinner set to end the event in marvellous fashion.
