Carrefour Kenya Hires Christophe Orcet As Country Manager
French supermarket chain Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Kenya, has appointed Christophe Orcet as the new country manager.
He is a senior executive retail manager with over 25 years of experience in operations and management field, strategy and business expansion and e-commerce.
Orcet, who has previously served as the head of operations and commercial for the MAF Carrefour in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) replaced Franck Moreau who retired from the company after 23 years of serving in different roles.

Moreau reportedly resigned from the company in October 2022 and has been working with the new management for the past 5 months with the company to oversee a smooth transition.
Carrefour established its presence in Kenya in 2016 and now has 19 stores located in various malls in Nairobi. It has emerged as a fierce competitor to local-owned retailers in the country, Quickmart and Naivas fighting for their share of the market.
Carrefour has been running an aggressive marketing campaign to promote online shopping in Kenya even as more customers return to physical shopping post-COVID.
